Previously known as the Leysian Mission, the Grade II listed structure was built in 1903/1904 and operated until 1983 as a Methodist mission, after which it was converted to 63 high-end residential flats.
Situated on City Road, next to Old Street Station and in the heart of London’s new dot.com hub (a.k.a. the Silicon Roundabout), it has been called ‘the best terracotta building in Islington’ and is a famous local landmark - as well as being our home.
This website provides a guide to the building, its history and current status, as well as information relating to the area. It is a resource both for the residents of the building, as well as people interested in it, run by those who live in the building. We hope that you will find it of interest and use.
